   What is prettier than a tree in March?
   A blooming wakefulness after the hemlock of death.

   What is prettier than a tree in March?
   Under the arrow of thunder and the axe of hail

   What is prettier than a tree in March?
   Bare, released and still an image of fruitfulness.
